The Origin Story

As consultants and product builders, we experienced the "Alignment Tax" first-hand: the expensive, hidden cost of humans manually carrying context from one tool to another. When the AI boom hit, everyone rushed to bolt an "AI sidebar" onto legacy software. But the conversations, decisions, and files still lived in different silos.

We realized that the output was easy to share, but the context behind the output was not. The future of work required an environment where the workspace itself understood the work—where humans and AI agents shared a working context with clear boundaries, live artifacts, and explicit references.

So, we decided to build Collivo. Not because the world needed another place to chat with AI, but because we believe the workspace itself needed to change.

  • Context Should Travel: When work moves from one teammate to another, the sources, decisions, and assumptions should move with it.
